What to Do If You’ve Lost Your CommBox Remote
Lost your CommBox remote? Here’s how to keep using your screen with compatible replacement options and the CommBox Connect app.

All CommBox Screens
If your CommBox remote has gone missing, don’t worry — there are a few easy ways to get back in control.
A Google remote won’t work with your CommBox screen because they are designed for the Google TV Android OS or Chromecast devices, and CommBox screens don’t use that system.
Instead, you can use a generic USB wireless remote. These are widely available and work just like the remote included with the CommBox signage player. Your screen’s Android operating system already understands the remote’s commands (thanks to preprogrammed “keyevents”), so all you need to do is plug the USB receiver into the screen and you’re ready to go — no setup required.
If you own a Classic S4, S5, Horizon, or Intelligent Display, you can also use the free CommBox Connect app on your phone. This app works like a remote, and even has an “air mouse” mode that lets you move a pointer on your screen by moving your phone. Just connect your phone and screen to the same Wi-Fi network, open the app, and pair them.
💡 Tip: The CommBox Connect app is a great quick fix if you need control straight away and don’t have a replacement remote yet.
