What to do if your OPS module won’t start

Learn what to do when the OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) module doesn’t power on, respond or display correctly.

Applies to: CommBox Atom screens with an installed OPS PC module

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Ensure the CommBox Atom screen is powered ON and set to OPS input.

2. Check that the OPS module is fully inserted into the rear slot. Push gently until it clicks.

3. If no display appears, switch to another source and then back to OPS to refresh the connection.

4. Restart the OPS module:

  • Tap the Start Menu in Windows and select Shut Down

  • Once shut down, use the Power button on the screen or remote to turn off the screen

  • Turn the screen back on and return to OPS input

5. Still no response? Try removing the OPS, waiting 10 seconds, and reseating it.

💡 Tip: Always shut down the OPS properly before turning off the screen to avoid file corruption.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • OPS not detected? Try reseating or testing on another screen.

  • Touch not working on OPS? Check the USB touch cable is connected.
