What is CommBox AI and how do I get started on the Classic S5?

CommBox AI is a suite of intelligent tools built into your Classic S5 to save time, support learning and make lessons more engaging — here is what's included and how to get started with a free 7-day trial.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Understand what's included in the CommBox AI Bundle

  • AI Stylus — a smart stylus with a built-in microphone for voice control, as an air mouse and as a pointer.
  • Ask AI — ask any question by typing or speaking, and get answers, images, videos and quizzes in response.
  • Circle & Go — circle anything on the screen to instantly get summaries, explanations or related content.
  • Live Subtitles — adds real-time captions to any audio or video and translates speech into over 50 languages.
  • Video Pilot — automatically analyses a video and generates a summary, a timeline of key sections and key learning points.
  • Calculator Pro — an AI-assisted maths workspace that recognises handwritten equations, graphs functions and solves problems.
  • AI in Whiteboard — includes AI Artist, AI Mind Map and AI Topics directly inside the CommBox Whiteboard app.

Step 2: Register for a free 7-day trial

💡 Tip: You can also register for a trial directly from the screen. Tap the CommBox AI app from the Launcher and follow the prompts.

Step 3: Purchase the CommBox AI Bundle

  • After your trial, contact your authorised CommBox reseller to purchase the bundle.
  • The bundle includes the AI Stylus and a 5-year CommBox AI licence.

Step 4: Install the AI apps

  • Open the CommBox Store on your screen.
  • The AI apps will appear in the store once your licence is active.
  • Tap Install or Update for each app.

Step 5: Pair the AI Stylus

  • Open Settings > Connected Devices > Bluetooth.
  • Toggle Bluetooth on and pair the AI Stylus from the list of available devices.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work

  • AI apps are not appearing in the CommBox Store — confirm your licence has been activated and that the screen is connected to the internet. Open the CommBox Store and check for updates.
  • AI Stylus is not pairing — make sure the stylus is charged and Bluetooth is enabled on the screen. Restart both the stylus and the screen and try pairing again.
  • Trial registration is not working — check that you have the correct serial number from Settings > About and try the registration link again.
