Replacing LED Modules on CommBox Gen 2 LED Board

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Identify the Faulty Module

   • Locate the module displaying issues by inspecting the screen image carefully.

2. Prepare Maintenance Tools

   • Use the front maintenance magnetic or suction tool, ensuring it is clean and functional.

3. Remove the Faulty Module

   • If using the magnetic tool, place the angled side of the magnetic tool directly on the module.

   • Gently rotate the tool upward until the module attaches magnetically.

   • If using the suction tool, turn the power switch on and place it on the faulty module. Then press and hold the white button on the tool, the module will stick to the tool.

   • Pull the module straight out, keeping it parallel to avoid connector damage.

4. Detach the Maintenance Tool

   • Hold the module securely in your hand.

   • In case of using the magnetic tool, rotate the magnetic tool away from the module to release it safely.

   • In case of using the suction, let your finger off the button from the suction tool and the module will come off. 

5. Install the Spare Module

   • Align the new module’s arrow with the arrow on the hub board inside the cabinet.

   • Carefully press the module into the connector with steady, even pressure.

   • Confirm the module sits flush with surrounding modules for a seamless finish.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

• Module Won’t Attach to Tool: Reposition the magnetic tool until full contact is made.

• New Module Not Displaying Properly: Check that module connectors are fully seated and aligned.

• Repeated Module Failures: Consider inspecting the hub board or contact support.

• If unresolved, log a ticket on the Support Portal.
