Installing and Using CommBox Signage on Gen 2 LED boards

This article shows how to install and use CommBox Signage for real-time digital signage on your CommBox Gen 2 LED board.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Download the APK

  2. Side-load the App

    • Plug the USB into the LED screen.

    • Go to File Explorer and locate the APK file.

    • Tap to install. If prompted, allow installations from unknown sources.

  3. Launch CommBox Signage

    • Once installed, open the app from the home screen or All Applications.

    • Log in using your signage platform credentials.

  4. Start Publishing Content

    • Use your online signage dashboard to push content to the screen.

    • You can display announcements, timetables, promotions, and more in real time.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • App Not Installing: Enable APK installation under Settings > System Settings > Safety > Install unknown apps.

  • Content Not Displaying: Confirm internet connectivity and check device status in the signage dashboard.

  • If issues persist, log a ticket on the Support Portal.
