Applies To:
CommBox Intelligent Display Gen 2 — All sizes (43", 55", 65", 75", 86", 98")
Step 1: Install the batteries Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert two AAA batteries, making sure the positive (+) and negative (–) ends match the markings inside the compartment. Do not mix old and new batteries. Close the compartment securely and ensure the clip is fastened at the bottom.
⚠️ Warning: Using the wrong type of battery can cause an explosion. Always use AAA batteries and check the polarity before closing the compartment.
Step 2: Point the remote at the receiver The receiver is located on the back of the CommBox Intelligent Display Gen 2. Point the remote toward the back of the display when using it.
💡 Tip: The remote control works within 8 metres and within a 30-degree angle to the left and right of the receiver. If it's not responding, try moving closer or adjusting your angle.
Step 3: Use the key remote control buttons Here are the most useful buttons for everyday classroom use:
- Power button — turns the display on or off
- Mute button — enter or exit mute mode
- Input button — opens the input source settings so you can switch between connected devices
- Home button — returns you to the Android system home screen
- Menu button — opens the main settings menu
- Volume buttons (VOL+ / VOL–) — adjust the volume up or down
- Arrow keys — scroll up, down, left, and right through menus
- Enter button — confirms your selection
- Back button — returns you to the previous screen
- Blue button — opens or closes the screen freeze tool (great for holding an image on screen while you talk)
- Backlight button — turns the screen backlight on or off
Step 4: Dispose of used batteries responsibly When the batteries run out, please dispose of them in a recycling bin. Do not throw batteries in the bin or into fire.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work
- Remote not responding — make sure there are no objects between the remote and the receiver at the back of the display. The receiver must have a clear line of sight.
- Buttons not working as expected — check that the battery polarity is correct (+/– in the right direction) and replace batteries if they are flat.
- Remote works but nothing changes on screen — confirm you are pointing at the receiver on the back of the display, not the front.
