How to use Pixel Shift to prevent screen burn-in on the Classic S4 and S5

Learn how to enable Pixel Shift on your CommBox screen to reduce the risk of image retention or screen burn-in during extended use.

Applies to: Classic S4, Classic S4+, Classic S5

Step 1

Swipe up from the bottom middle of the screen to open the device settings menu.

Step 2

Tap the Screen tab in the menu.

Step 3

Find the Pixel Shift toggle.

Step 4

Toggle Pixel Shift ON.

💡 Tip: When enabled, Pixel Shift subtly moves the image at regular intervals to prevent static elements—like logos or menu bars—from burning into the screen.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • If the Pixel Shift option is not visible, make sure your CommBox is running the latest firmware.
    👉 Go to Settings > System > System Update > Check for update

  • Restart the screen after enabling Pixel Shift to ensure the setting takes effect.
