Applies To: CommBox Classic S5
Step-by-Step Instructions
You can switch off the Android operating system on your CommBox Classic S5 and use it as a display only (for example, with an external PC or other input).
However, there are a couple of important things to know before you do this:
Known Issue 1: Turn off Auto Annotate first
Before switching off Android, you need to disable Auto Annotate, which can cause the screen to freeze if left on.
To switch it off:
-
Open the Annotate tool from the side menu or by initiating Auto-Annotate with the stylus.
-
When the menu appears, tap on "More"
- Look for Auto Annotate and toggle it to Off.
Known Issue 2: PIN lock for device settings won’t work
Currently, the PIN lock for device settings does not work when Android is turned off. Keep this in mind if you need to lock down settings on shared screens.
