How to Share a Mobile Device Screen to CommBox Using EShare

Learn how to wirelessly mirror your iOS or Android device screen to a CommBox touchscreen using the EShare app or native protocols like AirPlay and Chromecast.

Step 1: Connect your mobile device and CommBox screen to the same Wi-Fi network

Ensure both your phone or tablet and the CommBox screen are connected to the same network.
💡 Tip: For best performance, connect your CommBox screen via Ethernet and your device to a 5GHz Wi-Fi band.

Step 2: Open CommBox Connect on the touchscreen

Tap the CommBox Connect icon on the home screen.
You’ll see a QR code, device name, and connection options displayed.

Step 3: Download and open the EShare app on your mobile device

  • For iOS: Download Eshare for iPhone from the App Store
  • For Android: Download Eshare from Google Play
  • Or visit https://eshare.app to download the app

Open the app once installed.

Step 4: Connect your mobile device to the CommBox screen

  • Tap Scan QR in the EShare app and scan the QR code shown on the CommBox screen
  • Or select the CommBox screen name from the list of available devices
  • You may also connect using a PIN code if enabled

Step 5: Start screen sharing

  • Tap Share Screen in the EShare app
  • On iOS, you’ll be prompted to open Screen Mirroring from Control Centre and select the CommBox screen
  • On Android, use Smart View or Wireless Display from Quick Settings if using native casting

Your mobile screen will now appear on the CommBox touchscreen.

💡 Tip: You can also use TV Mirror to mirror the CommBox screen back to your mobile device and control it remotely.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Make sure both devices are on the same network
  • Restart the EShare app and try scanning the QR code again
  • On iOS, ensure Bluetooth is enabled and permissions are granted
  • If using AirPlay, check that AirPlay Visible is enabled in CommBox Connect settings
  • For Android, ensure Chromecast is enabled in CommBox Connect settings
  • If issues persist, log a ticket on the CommBox Support Portal
