Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1. Turn on the CommBox

  • Plug your CommBox into a power outlet.

  • Locate the main power switch at the back of the panel near the power cable.

  • Switch it to the ‘I’ position to turn it on.

💡 Note: The location of the power switch may vary slightly depending on your CommBox size.

Step 2. Wait for the Getting Started Wizard

  • Once powered on, your screen will automatically launch the Getting Started Wizard.

  • This wizard guides you through the initial configuration.

🔧 If the installer has already completed this setup, you can skip ahead to using the basic features.

Step 3. Select your language

  • Choose your preferred display language to use on the screen.

Step 4. Set the date and time

  • Accurate date and time settings help with scheduled updates and power cycles.

  • Use the on-screen options to adjust as needed.

Step 5. Connect to a network

  • You can connect via:

    • Wi-Fi (using the Wi-Fi module)

    • Ethernet cable

    • Mobile hotspot (via your device)

💡 Tip: Ensure your Wi-Fi module is installed before turning on the panel. You’ll find it in the accessories bag and need a Phillips head screwdriver to install it.

Step 6. Name your device

  • Give your CommBox a memorable name—like your classroom, room number, or year group.

  • This name will appear when casting from devices using CommBox Connect or Miracast.

Step 7. Choose your style

  • Select a default wallpaper or personalise the appearance later.

Final Step: Start using your CommBox!

Once you’ve completed the wizard, you’re ready to use your CommBox Classic S4 for teaching, presenting or collaborating.
