Enter a Wi-Fi Password on Your CommBox Screen (Touch, Remote, or Keyboard)
Learn how to enter your Wi-Fi password on a CommBox screen so your screen stays connected for updates, apps, and casting.
Applies to: CommBox Interactive screens (touch-enabled) and CommBox Commercial displays (remote-controlled)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Confirm what type of CommBox screen you are using
-
Interactive screen (touch-enabled): You can tap the on-screen keyboard with your finger or a stylus.
-
Commercial display (non-touch): You enter text using the remote control or by connecting a USB keyboard.
💡 Tip: If the screen does not respond to touch, it is likely a Commercial display (or touch is disabled).
Step 2: Open the Wi-Fi settings menu
If you are using a remote control (Commercial display):
-
Press the Menu (or Home) button on the remote to open the sidebar or main menu.
-
Use the arrow keys (Up/Down/Left/Right) to highlight Settings.
-
Press OK/Enter.
If you are using touch (Interactive screen):
-
Tap Settings from the home screen or side menu.
Step 3: Go to Wi-Fi and select your network
-
Open Network Settings.
-
Choose Wi-Fi.
-
Highlight (or tap) your Wi-Fi network name.
-
Press OK/Enter (remote) or tap the network (touch).
Step 4: Enter your Wi-Fi password
Option A: Using touch (Interactive screen)
-
Tap the password field.
-
Use the on-screen keyboard to type your Wi-Fi password.
-
Tap Connect.
Option B: Using the remote (Commercial display)
-
When you select the Wi-Fi network, the on-screen keyboard usually appears automatically.
-
Use the remote arrow keys to move across the keyboard.
-
When a letter/number/symbol is highlighted, press OK/Enter to select it.
-
Repeat until the full password is entered.
-
Highlight Connect (or Confirm) and press OK/Enter.
✅ Important: There is no dedicated password button on the remote. Password entry is done using arrows + OK/Enter on the on-screen keyboard.
Step 5: Connect and confirm
-
Select Connect.
-
Wait for the Wi-Fi status to show Connected.
💡 Tip: This keeps the screen online for smooth updates, sign-ins, and wireless sharing.
