HDMI-CEC (High-Definition Multimedia Interface Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature that allows devices connected via HDMI to communicate with each other and perform various functions. However, there may be situations where you need to disable HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Panel. Follow the steps below to disable HDMI-CEC:

Step 1

Make sure your display is set to the correct HDMI source (e.g. HDMI 1) that your device is connected to.

Step 2

Either swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see the Device Settings or go to the sidebar menu, control bar at the bottom and the settings cog.

Step 3

Navigate to the 'Other' tab.

Step 4

Find the setting called HDMI CEC and toggle it OFF. It is ON by default.

Step 5

Reboot the screen.

💡 Tip: Turning off HDMI-CEC is helpful if your devices are turning on or switching sources automatically when you don’t want them to.

By following these steps, you can easily disable HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Panel. Disabling HDMI-CEC can be useful in situations where you want to prevent unintended interactions between devices or if you are experiencing compatibility issues. Remember that the menu layout and options may vary slightly depending on the specific model and firmware version of your CommBox Panel.
