Why can’t I log in to my CommBox OS Account?
If you're having trouble logging in to your CommBox OS Account, there are a few key settings that need to be in place. Here's how to check and fix them.

1. Check your internet connection
Make sure your CommBox screen is connected to a stable internet connection—Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
💡 Tip: You can confirm this by opening the browser app and visiting any website.
2. Ensure the date and time are correct
Tap the side menu, open Settings > System > Date & Time, and confirm the correct date, time, and timezone are set.
⏰ Incorrect time can cause login requests to fail with Microsoft or Google.
3. Update your firmware
Your CommBox screen must have the latest firmware to support CommBox OS Accounts.
To update:

Open Settings > System > System Update

Tap Check for Update and follow the prompts

4. IT Administator approval required
If you're using a school or organisational Google or Microsoft account, your admin must approve access for CommBox OS Accounts.
To do this:

A Google or Microsoft Admin should log in to any CommBox screen

They will be prompted to approve access via a pop-up

💡 Tip: This only needs to be done once per organisation.
5. Make sure CommBox OS Accounts in enabled in CommBox Exp on a Classic S5
If you have a Classic S5, the IT Admin can disabled CommBox OS Accounts. Speak to them if this has been disabled.
6. Make sure you have accept personal permissions with Microsoft or Google
From time to time, Google or Microsoft will update their terms or permissions. These pop ups will appear during the log in process. You can to accept the terms or permissions for CommBox Exp to work.
