Step-by-Step Instructions
💡 Tip: If a Google Workspace Admin tries to open a CommBox OS Account, they will be automatically prompted to approve CommBox Exp as part of their login journey. If a Workspace Admin can't or doesn't want to set up a CommBox OS account, then your organisation needs to follow the steps below.
Step 1: Access the Google Admin Console
Go to admin.google.com and sign in using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Open the ‘Web and mobile apps’ section
-
From the Admin Console home page, click Menu (☰)
-
Go to Security > Access and data control > API controls
-
Click Manage Third-Party App Access
Step 3: Review app access requests
If a user has tried to sign in to Google Drive (or another Google Workspace app) from an app like CommBox OS, you’ll see a pending request here.
Click Review Access Request for the app in question.
Step 4: Approve access for your organisation
-
Select the app from the list
-
Choose Trusted to allow access to Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.
-
Click Configure Access and apply it to the correct user group or to everyone in your organisation
💡 Tip: You can also search for apps manually using the OAuth App Name or Client ID if your organisation uses strict app access controls.
Step 5: Have the user try signing in again
Once approved, the user can now open CommBox OS accounts on the screen.
