Use the new Whiteboard tools in Huntsman on the Classic S5

Huntsman adds Golden Pen, Compass, categorised backgrounds, more shape colours, PowerPoint import, text editing and extra SmartWrite languages.

Applies to

CommBox Classic S5 running Huntsman firmware or later.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Use Golden Pen

Open Whiteboard and select the Pen tool. Choose the golden glitter ink colour to add a highlighted or decorative writing style.

Step 2: Draw circles with Compass

Open the Ruler tools and select Compass. Position the tool, choose the size you need and draw using the compass control. Use the other ruler tools when you need straight lines or measured angles.

Step 3: Choose a background by category

Select Background, then choose a category and a template. You can use a different background on each Whiteboard page. The selected background is included when you export or share the Whiteboard.

Step 4: Add more coloured shapes

Select Shape, choose a shape, then choose from the available fill and outline colours before placing it on the Whiteboard.

Step 5: Import a PowerPoint 

Open Menu, select Import, then choose "PowerPoint". Select your PowerPoint file from the file picker. Once selected, the PowerPoint will be imported into the whiteboard, with each page of the presentation as a new page of the Whiteboard. Navigate through using the forward and back keys on the toolbar. 

Step 6: Add and edit text

Select Text to type or use voice-to-text. To change text you have already added, select it and choose Edit.

Step 7: Use SmartWrite in your preferred language

Select the Write to Text Pen. If this is the first time you have used the write to text pen, you will be asked to download the languages you want to writ ein. Choose the appropriate SmartWrite language before writing. The whiteboard supports English, Māori, Japanese, French, Spanish, Fijian, Samoan, Italian and Indonesian. Select converted SmartWrite text and choose Edit when you need to correct it.

Important notes

  • For the best SmartWrite result, select the language before you start writing.

  • Languages can be switched in the Whiteboard Settings in the menu button on the toolbar

  • PowerPoint import appearance can vary with fonts, animations and unsupported presentation content. Check the imported slides before presenting.
