- Prepare for the Upgrade:
- Make sure you have the correct RAM module for your OPS computer.
(CommBox OPS supports 2667Mhz) - Power off the OPS computer and remove the OPS from the CommBox
- Place the computer on a stable surface with sufficient workspace.
- Remove the cover panel:
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the panel covering the internal components.
- Ground yourself:
- Static electricity can damage computer components. To prevent this, ground yourself by touching a metal object, such as a doorknob or the metal frame of the OPS computer.
- Install the RAM module:
- Locate the existing RAM module.
- Carefully push the latches on either side of the existing RAM module(s) outward to release them.
- Gently remove the existing RAM module(s) by pulling them straight out from the slot.
- Take the new RAM module and align it with the slot, ensuring the notch on the module matches the tab inside the slot.
- Insert the RAM module at a slight angle (usually around 30 degrees) and firmly press it down into the slot until the latches click into place.
- Replace the Cover:
- Align the panel that provides access to the internal components.
- Secure it in place using the screws you removed earlier.
- Power On the Computer:
- The computer should recognize the new RAM module automatically during the boot-up process.
- To verify the upgrade, you can check the system information or use diagnostic software to confirm the new RAM's presence and capacity.
Congratulations! You have successfully upgraded the RAM module in your OPS computer. Enjoy the improved performance and increased memory capacity.
