How to Rotate Your CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 to Portrait Mode

Learn how to mount your CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 in portrait orientation and configure the screen to match.

Applies To CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 — All models

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Mount in Portrait Orientation

  • Using the included wall mount bracket or a compatible VESA mount, install the screen vertically
  • Rotate either 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on your setup
  • Ensure all mounting hardware is securely fastened before proceeding

⚠️ Important: Physical mounting should be carried out by a qualified installer. Make sure the mount you are using is rated for the weight and size of your specific CommBox model.

Step 2: Open System Settings

  • Press MENU on the remote
  • Navigate to System Settings and press OK
  • Note: the menu may appear sideways until you complete the next step

Step 3: Select Rotate Menus

  • Navigate to Rotate Menus and press OK
  • Select the rotation that matches how your screen is mounted:
  • 90° — if rotated clockwise
  • 270° — if rotated anti-clockwise
  • 180° — for an upside-down landscape installation

Step 4: Confirm the Change

  • The on-screen menus will now appear correctly aligned with your portrait setup

💡 Tip: Portrait orientation works really well for digital signage, lobby screens, and classroom notice boards. Pair this with a media player or PC set to output in portrait mode for the best results.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work

  • Menus are rotated but video is still landscape — you will also need to change the output orientation on your connected device (e.g. laptop or media player) to portrait mode
  • Can't read the menu to change rotation — use the physical buttons on the bottom edge of the screen to navigate without the remote
