Learn how to restore your CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 to its original factory settings — useful when troubleshooting or preparing the screen for a new location.

Applies To CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 — All models

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Note Down Your Current Settings

  • Before resetting, take note of any important settings such as scheduled power times, image preferences, and language
  • A factory reset will delete all customised settings and cannot be undone

⚠️ Important: A factory reset will remove all scheduled power on/off times, image and audio adjustments, and language preferences. Make sure you record these before proceeding.

Step 2: Open About This Screen

  • Press MENU on the remote
  • Navigate to About This Screen and press OK

Step 3: Select Restore Factory Settings

  • Navigate to Restore Factory Settings and press OK

Step 4: Confirm the Reset

  • A confirmation prompt will appear
  • Select Yes (or Confirm) and press OK
  • The screen will restart and return to its original factory settings

Step 5: Reconfigure Your Settings

  • Set your language, time, and scheduled power on/off
  • Reconnect your input devices and restore any preferred image or audio settings

💡 Tip: If you are handing the screen over to a new room or team, a factory reset ensures the next users start with a clean slate — with all previous settings cleared.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work

  • Restore Factory Settings is greyed out — Key Lock may be active; try using the remote to navigate the menu or disable Key Lock first
  • Screen not responding after reset — allow 1–2 minutes for the screen to fully restart; if it still doesn't respond, turn it off using the rear power switch and turn it back on
