How to Lock the Buttons and Remote on Your CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2
Learn how to prevent unauthorised changes to your CommBox Meeting Room Display Gen 2 by enabling Key Lock and Remote Lock.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Other Settings
- Press MENU on the remote
- Navigate to Other Settings and press OK
Step 2: Enable Key Lock
- Navigate to Key Lock and press OK
- Set it to ON
- The physical buttons on the screen will now be disabled
Step 3: Enable Remote Lock (Optional)
- Navigate to Remote Lock and toggle it on
- The remote control will now be disabled
💡 Tip: Key Lock is great for shared environments like classrooms or public spaces where you want to prevent accidental or unauthorised changes to the screen settings.
⚠️ Important: If you enable both Key Lock and Remote Lock at the same time, you may need an RS232 control system to unlock them, or you will need to perform a factory reset. Make sure you have another way to access the menu before enabling both.
Step 4: Disable Key Lock or Remote Lock
- To turn off Key Lock — use the remote to go to MENU > Other Settings > Key Lock > OFF
- To turn off Remote Lock — use the physical buttons on the screen to navigate to MENU > Other Settings > Remote Lock > OFF
