How to Sign In to Microsoft Apps like Outlook or Powerpoint on Your CommBox

Access your Microsoft Apps like Powerpoint and Outlook email directly from your CommBox touchscreen in just a few steps.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Open the browser
From the CommBox home screen, tap the Browser icon.

Step 2

Go to the Outlook sign-in page
In the browser, visit www.outlook.com.

Step 3

Sign in to your Microsoft account

  • Tap Sign In

  • Enter your email address or phone number

  • Tap Next

  • Enter your password and tap Sign In

💡 Tip: Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your login details, or connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard for easier typing.

Step 4

Stay signed in (optional)
If you're using a personal device, you can tick ‘Keep me signed in’ to skip logging in next time.
⚠️ Important: We don’t recommend this for shared classroom or meeting room screens.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Open the Google Play Store

  • Tap the Apps icon on the home screen.

  • Select Google Play Store.

  • If prompted, sign in with your Google account to access downloads.

Step 2

Search for Microsoft Outlook

  • In the Play Store search bar, type Microsoft Outlook.

  • Tap on the app from Microsoft Corporation.

  • Tap Install to download it to your CommBox S5.

💡 Tip: You can also download other Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Teams the same way.

Step 3

Open the Microsoft Outlook app

  • Once installed, tap Open or find the app on your home screen.

Step 4

Sign in to Outlook

  • Tap Sign In

  • Enter your email address or phone number

  • Tap Next

  • Enter your password and tap Sign In

💡 Tip: You can connect a keyboard via USB or Bluetooth to make signing in and typing easier.

Step 5

Optional: Stay signed in
If you're using a personal or staff-only screen, tick ‘Keep me signed in’ to stay logged in.
⚠️ Note: Avoid this on shared screens used by multiple people.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Can’t sign in? Double-check your email and password.

  • Keyboard not appearing? Tap the keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen.

  • Forgot your password? Use the Outlook.com “Forgot password?” link to reset it.
