How to Get Started with Your CommBox Intelligent Display

Learn how to unpack, connect and power on your CommBox Intelligent Display so it’s ready for teaching, presenting or collaborating.

Applies to: Intelligent Display 43”, 55”, 65”, 75”, 86”, 98”

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Unpack and Position Your Display

  • Carefully remove your display from the packaging.

  • Place it on a stable wall mount or display stand.

  • Make sure there’s enough ventilation space around the screen:

    • Top: at least 20 cm

    • Left, right, and back: at least 10 cm

💡 Tip: Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or humid areas to keep the display running smoothly


Step 2: Plug In the Power

  • Plug the power cord into the display and then into a grounded wall outlet.

  • Use only the original power cable provided.

  • Switch the power button to “I” to turn the display on

⚡ Safety Tip: Never connect power while hands are wet or the screen is damp from cleaning.


Step 3: Turn On the Display

  • Press the power button on the display or use the remote control to power on.

  • The power indicator light will confirm it’s on.

  • If using the remote, make sure you’re within 8 metres and in line-of-sight of the receiver

Step 4: Connect Your Devices

You can connect external devices in a few ways:

USB Type-C

  • Plug the USB Type-C cable into your laptop and the display.

  • Press the INPUT button and select “Type-C” to begin.

  • This also supports charging (up to 65W), video and data

HDMI

  • Plug in your HDMI cable and select the HDMI input channel via the INPUT button.

  • For 65” and above, HDMI1 and HDMI2 support HDMI OUT (for outputting to another display).

USB Devices

  • Plug USB drives, keyboards or mice into the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports.

LAN

  • Plug an Ethernet cable into the LAN port for network connectivity.


💡 Tip: Use USB ports for quick file access or to connect peripherals like keyboards and cameras.


Step 5: Adjust Settings

  • Press the MENU button to access settings.

  • Adjust volume, brightness, or change input sources easily.

  • Navigate using the arrow keys on the display or remote.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • No sound or picture?

    • Check if the display and connected device are powered on.

    • Make sure the correct input is selected.

    • Check all cable connections.

  • Remote not working?

    • Replace the AAA batteries.

    • Ensure there’s nothing blocking the remote signal

  • Display turns off by itself?

    • It may enter sleep mode if no signal is detected for 5 minutes.

    • Check cable connections and power settings.
