Step 1: Understand the Uptime Limit

Interactive Screens

CommBox Interactive screens are designed for professional environments like classrooms and meeting rooms—but they’re not built to run 24/7.

  • Recommended maximum uptime: 16 hours per day

  • This limit helps ensure longevity of the screen and prevents overheating or burn-in.

🕒 Leaving your screen on longer than 16 hours per day on a regular basis may affect performance and could void your warranty.

Commercial Display Screens

CommBox Commerical Display screens are designed for professional environments and are built to run 24/7. This is applies to the Intelligent Display and the Meeting Room Display.

LED Display Screens

CommBox LED Display screens are designed for professional environments and are built to run 24/7.

Step 2: Use Auto Power Settings

To help manage uptime use the built in power settings and timers in CommBox screens.

💡 These settings help reduce unnecessary wear and save energy during inactivity.

Step 3: Power Down When Not in Use

If the screen won’t be used for a while (overnight, weekends, holidays):

  • Power it off using the remote or on-screen power button

  • You can also unplug it completely if it won’t be used for extended periods

🧠 A powered-down screen lasts longer and is more energy-efficient.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If You Forget

  • If the screen becomes sluggish or unresponsive, restart it and let it rest for a few hours.

  • Consider setting reminders or scheduling power cycles using the internal settings.

  • Overheating? Turn it off and let it cool before restarting.

⚠️ Screens that show signs of damage from overuse (such as image retention or panel fading) may not be covered under warranty.
