Software: Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Edge)

Step 1: Connect Your Computer to the CommBox Screen by your preferred connection type

  • Use a HDMI cable to connect your computer’s video output to the screen and use a USB A to B cable to enable touch interactivity between your computer and the screen

  • USB-C cable to connect your computer
  • Wireless screensharing with CommBox Connect

💡 Tip: HDMI handles the display, while USB enables touchscreen control.

Step 2: Open a Microsoft Office App on your connect device

  • Launch a supported Office app such as Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Microsoft Edge

  • These apps support Microsoft Ink out of the box

💡 Tip: With the Classic S5 you can open Microsoft apps natively on the screen - download from the Google Playstore.

Step 3: Start Inking with the CommBox Stylus

  • Pick up your CommBox stylus pen

  • Use the pen directly on the screen to start annotating instantly

  • Your finger can still be used to select, scroll, or zoom—no need to manually toggle drawing modes

💡 Your CommBox screen can intelligently tell the difference between touch and pen input—so drawing, navigating, and writing is seamless!

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Ensure both the cables are properly connected

  • Confirm that your Office 365 app is up to date

  • Restart the Office app or try another to check compatibility
