      How do I upgrade my Classic V3/V3X via USB or OTA?

      Updating your CommBox Classic V3 to the latest firmware ensures you have the newest power saving features and improvements. Follow these steps to update your device via USB or the OTA server.

      How do I update my CommBox Classic V3 to a new firmware via USB?

      1. Download and Extract Firmware:

        • Download and extract 'MstarUpgrade_848.bin' onto a blank FAT32 USB.

      2. Turn Off the Panel:

        • Turn the panel's power off next to where the IEC cable enters the panel and plug the USB into either of the rear USB ports.

      3. Initiate Firmware Upgrade:

        • While holding down the on button at the front of the panel, turn the main power back on and keep holding until you get a blue software upgrade screen. This will take a couple of minutes.

      Turn on Auto Updates

      1. Open Settings:

        • Open the side menu on the home screen and select the cog wheel to open the settings application.

      2. Open System Settings:

        • Select the 3rd icon on the sidebar (cog icon) to open system settings.
        • Here you will see the option to toggle auto updates. Make sure it is turned on.

      OTA Updates

      1. Open Settings Application:

        • Open the settings application from the home screen.

      2. Check for Updates:

        • Select Check for updates. This will either show that the Waratah update is available for downloading, or it will prompt with "not found update package!!".

        • If prompted with "not found update package!!", please update the firmware via USB.
