How do I push my CommBox Experience settings to my other S5's via Manage?
Equipment needed
- CommBox Classic S5
- USB Stick
- Access to CommBox Manage
Step one: Create a CommBox Experience Settings File
1. On your CommBox Classic S5, open the CommBox Experience App
2. Set up your device based on your preferred settings
3. Insert your USB stick into one of the USB ports of the Device
4. Tap "Export" on the menu in CommBox Experience
5. Tap "Export" and navigate to your USB stick in the file structure.
6. Tap "OK". This will export the setting to a file, saved on your USB stick
Step Two: Push the settings file from CommBox Manage to the other S5's in your fleet
1. Log into CommBox Manage
2.Select the Device/s you wish to update with this new settings file
3. Select "Send Files"
4. Click "Add new"
- Name: Name your file something meaningful and unique. e.g. "CommBoxOSExperienceSettings240425"
- Destination: /sdcard/Download
- Upload the Settings file you just saved to your USB Stick.
- Click "Confirm"
5. Click on the file you just created and click "Apply" - This will pus the file to you selected devices
Step three: Run a Remote execute Command from CommBox Manage to install the settings
1.Select the Device/s you wish to update with this new settings file
2. Select "Remote Execute"
3. Click "Add New"
- Name: Name your file something meaningful and unique. e.g. "CommBoxOSExperienceSettings240425"
- Command: !internal
- Arguments: start_intent intent:#Intent;action=app.intu8.app.experience.ACTION_REMOTE_IMPORT;component=app.intu8.app.experience.i8sk/app.intu8.app.experience.FileImportActivity;S.file_uri=file%3A%2F%2F%2Fstorage%2Femulated%2F0%2FDownload%2Fsettings_2025_03_04_09_20_53.it8;end
- Note that the bolded section above will be the name of the file you created and pushed to the devices. e.g. settings_2025_03_04_09_20_53
- Click "Confirm"
4. Click on the command you just created and click "Apply" - This will push the settings to your selected devices
Congratulations! You have successfully pushed a CommBox Experience file through CommBox Manage
