How to mirror your Android device to a CommBox screen

Learn how to wirelessly mirror your Android phone or tablet to a CommBox screen using built-in features or the CommBox Connect app

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Ensure both your Android device and CommBox screen are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

This is essential for wireless screen mirroring to function correctly.

Use your Android device's built-in casting feature:

  • Swipe down from the top of your Android device to access Quick Settings.

  • Look for and tap on Smart View, Cast, or Screen Mirroring (the name may vary depending on your device).

  • Your device will scan for available displays.

  • Select your CommBox screen from the list

Your Android device's screen should now be mirrored on the CommBox screen.

Step 3

Alternatively, use the CommBox Connect app for enhanced features:

  • Download and install the CommBox Connect app from the Google Play Store.

  • Open the app on your Android device.

  • Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your CommBox screen.

The CommBox Connect app offers additional functionalities such as file sharing, remote control, and privacy settings.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • CommBox screen not appearing on your Android device?
    Ensure that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and that the CommBox screen is powered on.

  • Connection fails or is unstable?
    Restart both your Android device and the CommBox screen, then try connecting again.

  • Using CommBox Connect app but can't find the screen?
    Ensure that the CommBox Connect app is running on the CommBox screen and that both devices are on the same network
