How to disable the front panel buttons on your CommBox Classic V3 or V3X screen

Use the Keypad Lock feature to disable all front-facing buttons (except the power button) on your CommBox Classic V3 or V3X for better control and classroom security.

Classic V3 or Classic V3X

Step 1: Open the Settings App

  • Tap the Settings icon from the apps list or open it via the sidebar menu

Step 2: Go to the Fourth Settings Tab

  • Tap the fourth tab in the Settings menu

  • This tab is marked with an icon of three sliders

Step 3: Enable Keypad Lock

  • Scroll down and find Keypad Lock

  • Toggle it ON

💡 Tip: This disables all front panel buttons except the power button – great for preventing accidental or unauthorised changes.

Please Note

  • The power button cannot be disabled for safety and functionality

  • This feature is especially useful in shared environments like classrooms or public spaces

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Make sure you're on the Classic V3 or V3X model, as menus may vary between models

  • If the option doesn’t appear, check that your firmware is up to date
