Applies To
CommBox Touchscreens, OPS PC, Premium Sound Bar
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Connect your microphone to your PC or OPS
-
Plug your microphone into the 3.5mm input jack or USB port on your PC or OPS (the inbuilt PC inside your CommBox screen).
-
This allows you to control audio settings, adjust EQ, and record directly from your computer.
💡 Tip: Connecting through the PC gives you more flexibility to adjust sound levels and record your voice during lessons or meetings.
Step 2
Adjust your microphone settings on your PC
-
Go to Sound Settings on your Windows device.
-
Select Input and choose your connected microphone.
-
Test and adjust the volume and enhancements if needed.
Step 3
Optional: Connect directly to a CommBox Premium Sound Bar
-
If you're using a CommBox Premium Sound Bar, you can plug a 3.5mm microphone directly into the sound bar’s AUX input.
-
This provides a simple, plug-and-play option when you don’t need to adjust settings or record audio.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work
-
No sound from mic? Make sure the microphone is selected as the default input device in sound settings.
-
Feedback or distortion? Lower the mic volume slightly and keep it away from the sound bar’s speakers.
-
Sound not playing through CommBox speakers? Check that the PC or OPS is selected as the audio output device.
