How do I connect a CommBox S5 screen to the NSW Department of Education network?
To connect your CommBox S5 screen to the NSW Department of Education (DoE) network, you need to follow a specific configuration process which includes installing the TLS WiFi certificate
Steps to Connect Your S5 Screen to the DoE Network:
Prepare Your Screen:

Make sure the external WiFi module is installed in your panel

Ensure the screen is within range of your school’s DoE network.
Download the DoE WiFi TLS Certificate:
Copy downloaded Certificate to a USB flash drive:

Copy the .crt certificate file to a USB flash drive and insert the drive to a USB port on the CommBox Classic S5
- Copy the .crt file to the local storage of the CommBox

Ingest the Certificate file on the CommBox:

On the CommBox, launch the Settings app from (Side menu > Launcher)
- In the "Network and Internet" menu, tap on "Internet"
- Scroll down on the (Internet/WiFi) page and tap on "Network Preferences"

Tap on "Install Certificates"

- Navigate the file menu to locate the copied TLS Certificate.
Double tap on the TLS file to ingest this certificate.
- Enter the Settings pincode if prompted
- Assign a name for the Certificate (e.g "DOE TLS WIFI")

- Press ok to save and ingest the certificate to the Android system
Connect to the DOE WiFi network:

In the WiFi Internet Menu, Select the DOE WiFi network
- Enter the following configuration
- EAP Method = PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication = MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate
- Select the drop-down box and select our ingested certificate
- Minimum TLS Version = TLS v1.2
- Online Certificate Status = Do not Verify
- Domain = detnsw.win
- Identify = *firstname.lastname*@det.nsw.edu.au
- Password = *DET user password*
- Proxy = None
- Save the WiFi setup
Authenticating with DETNSW

Launch the Browser application and navigate to "https://detnsw.net/"
- You should be prompted with a user login, enter user and password to confirm authentication
- Select the 'DoE CA Check' button at the right. On the page that appears, there should be two statements in green, with ticks next to them, that note:
- GlobalSign CA is trusted by your browser
- DoE CA is trusted by your browser
