How to configure touch input on a CommBox screen for Microsoft Teams Room (MTR)
Set up touch functionality on your CommBox interactive screen when it's used in a Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) setup by following this step-by-step guide.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 - Connect a wired keyboard

Plug a wired keyboard into one of the USB ports on the front of your CommBox screen.
Step 2 - Access the Administrator account

Press the Windows key three times on the keyboard.

The MTR console (table touch panel) will display the user selection screen.

Select Administrator.
-
Enter the password:

Step 3 - Open Tablet PC Settings

Navigate to:
Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings
Step 4 - Configure touch input

Click Setup under the "Configure" section.

When prompted: "What type of screen do you want to identify?", select Touch input.

On your CommBox screen, you’ll see:
“Tap this screen with your tablet pen to set it as the Tablet PC screen.” -
Tap the CommBox screen with your finger.

Press Enter on the keyboard.

When the same message appears on the MTR table touch panel, tap that screen with your finger.

Press Enter again to finish the touch setup.
Step 5 - Configure pen input (optional)

In Tablet PC Settings, click Setup again.

When asked, choose Pen input.

On the CommBox screen, tap it with your CommBox pen.

Press Enter on the keyboard.

When the same message appears on the MTR touch panel, do not touch it.

Instead, press Enter again on the keyboard.

Both screens will return to the Windows desktop.
Step 6 - Switch back to the MTR (Skype) account

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Switch user.

Select the Skype account and sign back in.
Step 7 - Verify touch is working in Microsoft Teams

On the MTR console, tap Meet Now.

Select Share Screen in the bottom right.

Tap Microsoft Whiteboard.

Confirm that touch is working on the CommBox screen.
💡 Tip: If touch input doesn’t respond, repeat the configuration steps starting from Tablet PC Settings.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

Ensure the USB cable from the CommBox is correctly connected to the MTR compute unit.

Make sure you're signed in as Administrator before configuring input.

Reboot the system and try again if touch or pen input doesn’t register.
