How to build your own integrations with CommBox Manage via the Manage API

Learn how to connect external systems to CommBox Manage using Radix’s Custom API/SDK.

Applies to: CommBox Manage (all versions)

Yes, you can although we do not support this if it fails. Visit: https://www.radix-int.com/custom-api-and-sdk/  to contact Radix and produce your own API.

Step 1 — Confirm what you want the integration to do

Write a short list of the actions you need (e.g. “push app installs”, “pull device status”).

💡 Tip: Keep it simple for your first version. You can add features later.

Step 2 — Visit the Radix Custom API & SDK page

Go to https://www.radix-int.com/custom-api-and-sdk/ and review the overview of what the API/SDK provides.

💡 Tip: Bookmark the page so you can return to the documentation quickly.

Step 3 — Contact Radix for access

Use the contact options on the page to request API/SDK access. Share your use case, organisation name, and any compliance needs. Visit support desk here.

💡 Tip: Ask for sandbox or test credentials so you can trial safely before production.

Step 4 — Obtain credentials and documentation

When Radix grants access, securely store your API keys/tokens and download or bookmark the developer docs.

⚠️ Security note: Treat keys like passwords. Rotate them regularly and never share keys in emails or screenshots.

Step 5 — Build and test your integration

Use the API/SDK methods to implement your workflow (e.g. authenticate, call endpoints, handle responses). Test against a few screens first.

💡 Tip: Log request IDs and timestamps. This makes troubleshooting faster.

Step 6 — Roll out gradually

Deploy to production in stages and monitor logs, error rates, and device behaviour in CommBox Manage.

💡 Tip: Schedule changes outside class time to minimise disruption in busy classrooms.

If you want any additional support from CommBox log a support ticket.
