Yes—CommBox touchscreens are fully compatible with Mac, along with other major operating systems, making them ideal for both education and business environments.

Applies To

All CommBox Interactive Displays (Classic V3X, S4, S5, Atom)
All macOS laptops and desktops (MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, etc.)

Connect your Mac to the CommBox touchscreen

  • Use a USB-C or HDMI adapter to connect your Mac to the CommBox screen

  • Plug in the USB touch cable if connecting with HDMI to enable full interactivity (touch and gesture support)

  • Most macOS devices will detect the screen automatically as a second display

💡 Tip: MacBooks with only USB-C ports may require an adapter for HDMI and USB-A.

Enable touch functionality on macOS

  • CommBox supports multi-touch gestures on macOS

  • No extra drivers are needed

  • You can tap, scroll, and annotate in supported macOS apps like Safari, Preview, and Microsoft Office

Use AirPlay to wirelessly mirror your screen

  • Ensure your Mac and CommBox are on the same Wi-Fi network

  • Open Control Centre on your Mac and click Screen Mirroring

  • Select your CommBox screen from the list (AirPlay must be enabled on CommBox OS)

  • Your Mac display will now mirror to the CommBox—perfect for quick presentations

💡 Tip: AirPlay also works with iPads and iPhones, allowing teachers and presenters to move freely around the room. Note that CommBox now support touch back on iPads!
