[Pulse](https://support.commbox.com.au/knowledge/older-commbox-products?hsLang=en#pulse) # Where to find the public USB ports on your CommBox Pulse screen ## Locate the public USB ports on your CommBox Pulse screen and learn how they function with both Android and Windows systems. **Applies To** Applies to: Pulse #### Location of Public USB Ports Unlike the CommBox Classic, where public USB ports are clearly labelled on the front, the **CommBox Pulse** features a more streamlined design. - The **public USB ports** are located on the **left-hand side** of the screen (when facing the display) - These ports are unlabelled for aesthetic reasons but function the same as on the Classic 💡 *Tip: These USB ports are easy to access for classroom or meeting room users needing to plug in a USB drive quickly.* #### How the Ports Work - These USB ports **pass through to the Android operating system** - They also connect to an **external Windows PC** or **OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) unit** if installed - Plug in USB drives, keyboards, webcams, or other compatible devices 💡 *Tip: For the best experience, make sure your device is formatted correctly (e.g. FAT32 or exFAT) if you’re using USB storage.* **Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work** - Ensure the USB device is securely plugged in - Try the same device in another USB port to confirm it's not faulty - Check the input source – the USB may only show under Android or the connected PC depending on your current mode - Still not detecting?
