Troubleshooting common issues with your CommBox Intelligent Display

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: If your CommBox display won’t turn on or has no picture/sound

Check that the unit is powered on — look for indicator lights.

Confirm all signal cables (HDMI, VGA, etc.) are securely connected.

Make sure the correct input source is selected (e.g., HDMI).

If you're using the internal PC, ensure it’s also switched on
Step 2: If the image shows but there's no sound

Make sure the system isn’t muted.

Adjust the volume using the VOL + / - buttons.

Confirm the audio cable is plugged in properly
Step 3: If the image appears distorted or has incorrect colours

Adjust brightness, contrast or chromaticity in the display’s menu settings.

Double-check the video signal cable is connected properly.

If using VGA, fine-tune the clock and phase in the menu
Step 4: If there’s no response from the remote control

Remove any objects blocking the signal between the remote and the screen.

Check battery placement; the “+” and “–” symbols must align correctly.

Replace the batteries if needed
Step 5: If the screen shuts off automatically

Check if Sleep Mode is enabled.

Look for signs of recent power outages.

If the display loses signal from an external source for 5 minutes, it will shut down automatically — make sure the signal source is active and correctly connected
Step 6: If the image has lines or is flickering

Select ‘Automatic Correction’ in the menu.

Adjust clock and phase manually if needed.

Ensure VGA cable is secure and undamaged
