Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: If your CommBox display won’t turn on or has no picture/sound

  • Check that the unit is powered on — look for indicator lights.

  • Confirm all signal cables (HDMI, VGA, etc.) are securely connected.

  • Make sure the correct input source is selected (e.g., HDMI).

  • If you're using the internal PC, ensure it’s also switched on

Step 2: If the image shows but there's no sound

  • Make sure the system isn’t muted.

  • Adjust the volume using the VOL + / - buttons.

  • Confirm the audio cable is plugged in properly

Step 3: If the image appears distorted or has incorrect colours

  • Adjust brightness, contrast or chromaticity in the display’s menu settings.

  • Double-check the video signal cable is connected properly.

  • If using VGA, fine-tune the clock and phase in the menu

Step 4: If there’s no response from the remote control

  • Remove any objects blocking the signal between the remote and the screen.

  • Check battery placement; the “+” and “–” symbols must align correctly.

  • Replace the batteries if needed

Step 5: If the screen shuts off automatically

  • Check if Sleep Mode is enabled.

  • Look for signs of recent power outages.

  • If the display loses signal from an external source for 5 minutes, it will shut down automatically — make sure the signal source is active and correctly connected

Step 6: If the image has lines or is flickering

  • Select ‘Automatic Correction’ in the menu.

  • Adjust clock and phase manually if needed.

  • Ensure VGA cable is secure and undamaged
