How to Take a Screenshot in CommBox Signage
Use the screenshot feature to remotely check what is currently being displayed on a screen connected to your CommBox Signage account.
Overview
Screenshots provide a quick way to confirm that the correct content is being displayed on your signage screens without needing to be physically in front of the device.
The screenshot feature is available with CommBox Signage Advanced and Pro licences. Once a screenshot has been captured, you can view the image in the Signage Portal or download it for later reference.
Before You Start
Before capturing a screenshot, keep the following in mind:
- The screen must be online and connected to CommBox Signage.
- Screenshots are not available when using the CommBox Signage Web Player (PWA).
- Devices running an unsupported version of the CommBox Signage application may display an error when a screenshot is requested.
- If the screen is offline or cannot be reached, a "did not respond" message may appear.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Deploy
Sign in to the CommBox Signage Portal and navigate to Deploy.
Step 2: Select Your Screen
Find the screen you would like to check and click the screen name to open its details.
Step 3: Request a Screenshot
Click the camera icon in the top-right corner of the screen details window.
Step 4: Wait for the Screenshot
