This article outlines the RJ45 pin configuration required to establish RS232 communication between the MR Display and an external controller. The RS232-IN port uses three pins for serial communication. | RJ45 Pin | T568A Colour | T568B Colour | Function | Description | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 8 | Brown | Brown | TxD | Transmits data from the display. Connect to RxD on the controller. | | 5 | Blue/White | Blue/White | RxD | Receives data from the controller. Connect to TxD on the controller. | | 3 | Orange/White | Green/White | GND | Ground connection. Connect to GND on the controller. | **Important:** All RJ45 pins not listed in the table must remain disconnected. Wiring Instructions When connecting the MR Display to an external RS232 controller: 1. Connect **Pin 8 (TxD)** on the display to **RxD** on the controller. 2. Connect **Pin 5 (RxD)** on the display to **TxD** on the controller. 3. Connect **Pin 3 (GND)** on the display to **GND** on the controller. 4. Ensure all other RJ45 pins remain disconnected. Important Notes - The RJ45 connector is used for **RS232 serial control**, not Ethernet networking. - TxD and RxD must be crossed between the display and controller. - The pin numbers remain the same regardless of whether T568A or T568B wire colours are used. -
