Learn how to connect and configure your CommBox Signage Player to add digital signage to any display.

The CommBox Signage Player is a compact Android-based device that adds digital signage capabilities to any screen. Powered by a Quad-Core processor and supporting 4K resolution, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and Ethernet, it’s designed for smooth, high-quality content playback. Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Unbox your CommBox Signage Player

Your box should include:

  • 1x CommBox Signage Player

  • 1x HDMI Extender

  • 1x Wireless Air Mouse

  • 1x Power Supply

💡 Tip: If anything is missing, log a ticket on the Support Portal.

Step 2: Connect the Signage Player to your screen

  • Plug the HDMI Extender into your screen.

  • Connect the CommBox Signage Player to the extender.

  • Connect the Power Supply to the player and plug it into a power outlet.

Step 3: Connect to the internet

You can connect using:

  • Wi-Fi: Dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz with WiFi 6 support

  • Ethernet: Plug in via the RJ45 port for stable wired connection

💡 Tip: For best performance in busy environments, use a wired Ethernet connection.

Step 4: Set up with your display

  • Turn on your screen and set it to the correct HDMI input.

  • Use the Wireless Air Mouse to navigate.

  • Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup.

Step 5: Activate CommBox Signage

  • CommBox Signage Player comes with the CommBox Signage software pre-installed—but the license must be purchased separately.

  • Contact CommBox or your reseller to activate your signage license.


Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • No signal on screen? Check the HDMI cable is firmly connected and your input source is correct.

  • Not connecting to Wi-Fi? Make sure you’ve selected the right network and typed your password correctly using the air mouse.

  • Signage app not working? Make sure your CommBox Signage license is activated.

If problems persist, log a ticket on the Support Portal.
