How to use Live Subtitles on CommBox AI
Learn how to turn spoken audio into on-screen captions and real-time translation.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Live Subtitles
Open the Side menu, then the Launcher, then tap Live Subtitles.
Step 2: Open settings
Tap the Settings cog.
Step 3: Choose the spoken language
Select the language being spoken, such as English (AU).
Step 4: Choose whether to translate
Tap Translate and select the language you want, or set translation to Off to keep captions in the spoken language.
Step 5: Adjust the subtitle window
Drag the subtitle window where you want it on the screen. You can also change font size, turn on system sound and select which microphone to use. Use the layout icons to choose a small floating window or a larger bar across the bottom.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work
If subtitles do not appear or the language is wrong:
- Confirm the spoken language
- Confirm the subtitle or translation language
- Make sure audio is actually playing through the screen or microphone
- Increase the volume slightly
- Move the subtitle window if it is covering content or controls
