How to use Ask AI voice commands on CommBox AI

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Ask AI with the AI Pen
Press and hold the Voice key until the Ask AI bar appears.
Step 2: Say your command clearly
Ask AI can control parts of the screen and open content using spoken prompts. Supported examples in the guide include:
- Return home
- Increase brightness
- Decrease brightness
- Set brightness to xx
- Increase volume
- Decrease volume
- Mute
- Unmute
- Shut down
Step 3: Use file and app commands
You can also say commands such as:
- Open whiteboard
- Close whiteboard
- Open final assignment.pptx
- View download folder
- Search for puppies
Step 4: Use Whiteboard voice commands
Ask AI can support Whiteboard actions too, including:
- Insert a circle
- Insert a red circle
- Switch to highlighter
- Generate a mind map of Darwin’s theory of evolution
💡 Tip: Voice commands help you stay focused on the room instead of walking back to the screen for every small action.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work
If voice commands are not recognised:
- If using the microphone array, make sure the microphone is not muted
- If using the AI Pen, make sure you are holding the Voice key when saying your command
- Reduce background noise
- Test with the voice to text keyboard embedded in the onscreen keyboard
- Try typing the same instruction to confirm Ask AI is working
- Log a ticket on the Support Portal at Knowledge Base if the issue continues
