Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
If touch fails on the home screen, check whether the screen is locked. If a lock message appears, unlock it.
Step 2
If touch fails when a laptop is connected, confirm the USB touch connection is in place:
-
USB-C connection, or
-
HDMI plus USB-B (Touch) cable.
Step 3
Restart the Neo and the connected computer.
Step 4
Remove infrared interference sources (some lamps and lighting can impact touch performance) and test again.
Step 5
Check for upgrades and update firmware if available.
💡 Tip: Correct cabling plus a quick restart resolves most touch issues fast.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work
-
If touch is intermittent or the pointer is inaccurate, remove USB extenders and keep USB cable length within 3 metres.
-
If pen writing does not work but finger touch does, confirm you are using a CommBox Neo pen. If the issue continues, log a ticket on the Support Portal at Knowledge Base so CommBox Support can help with next steps.
