How to set up and use CommBox AutoFill on the Classic S5
CommBox AutoFill lets you log into apps and websites on the big screen without typing your password in front of the class — your credentials are stored securely and filled in automatically.
Applies To
CommBox Classic S5 — All models (Goanna firmware and above, CommBox OS Experience and CommBox Account required)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Create your CommBox Account and set up your vault
- On your personal device (not the screen), visit portal.commboxexp.com.
- Log in with your CommBox Account, or create one if you haven't already.
- Navigate to the AutoFill section and add the usernames and passwords for the apps and websites you use on your screen.
💡 Tip: Set up your vault from home or your desk before heading to the classroom — everything will be ready to go when you arrive.
Step 2: Enable AutoFill on the screen
- On the Classic S5, tap the CommBox Experience app to open CommBox OS Experience settings.
- Tap Accounts and Security, scroll to AutoFill and toggle it on.
Step 3: Log into your CommBox Account on the screen
- Tap the Login tab on the side menu.
- Sign in using your Microsoft or Google credentials linked to your CommBox Account, or scan the QR code with your phone.
Step 4: Use AutoFill when logging into apps
- Open any app or website that requires a login.
- When the login screen appears, CommBox AutoFill will detect the fields and prompt you to enter your secure PIN.
- Your credentials will be filled in automatically — quickly and discreetly.
💡 Tip: AutoFill works across apps, websites and your school's learning management system. Once your vault is set up, logging in takes just a PIN — no more typing passwords in front of students.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work
- AutoFill is not prompting to fill credentials — confirm AutoFill is toggled on in CommBox OS Experience settings and that you are logged into your CommBox Account on the screen.
- Vault credentials are not showing up — log into portal.commboxexp.com on your personal device and confirm your credentials were saved correctly. Check that you are using the same account on the screen.
- AutoFill not available on a particular website — some websites are not yet supported. Try saving the site as a web link shortcut and logging in through the screen's browser.
