Step 1: Gather your HDMI cable You will need a standard HDMI cable. Make sure it is long enough to reach from your device to the back of the CommBox Intelligent Display Gen 2.
Step 2: Connect the HDMI cable to your device Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI output port on your laptop, set-top box, DVD player, or other device.
Step 3: Connect the other end to the display Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI IN ports on the back of the CommBox Intelligent Display Gen 2. The ports are labelled HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and (on 65" and above models) HDMI 3.
Step 4: Plug in the power cord and turn on the display Connect the power cable to the display, flip the Power Switch to the "I" position, and press the power button to turn on the screen.
Step 5: Switch to the correct HDMI input Press the INPUT button on the remote control or the front of the display. Select the HDMI channel you plugged into (for example, HDMI 1). Your device's screen should now appear on the display.
💡 Tip: If you have multiple devices connected, you can switch between them at any time by pressing the INPUT button and selecting the correct HDMI channel.
Using HDMI OUT to share to another screen or projector Your CommBox Intelligent Display Gen 2 can also send its content to another screen or projector using the HDMI OUT port.
- For 43" & 55" models: USB Type-C, HDMI 1, and HDMI 2 support HDMI OUT. The Android channel does not support HDMI OUT.
- For 65" – 98" models: The PC channel, USB Type-C, HDMI 1, and HDMI 2 support HDMI OUT. The Android channel and HDMI 3 do not support HDMI OUT.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn't Work
- No picture or sound — confirm both ends of the HDMI cable are firmly connected and that you have selected the correct HDMI input on the display.
- Sound but no picture, or picture but no sound — try a different HDMI cable, as some older cables may not carry both audio and video reliably.
- Device not showing up — make sure the connected device is turned on and set to output via HDMI. Some laptops require you to press a function key (e.g., Fn + F4) to enable HDMI output.
- HDMI OUT not working — check that you are using a supported input channel for HDMI OUT (see above for which channels support this feature).
