How to check HDMI Out settings on your CommBox Classic S4 or S5 screen
Learn how to access and configure HDMI Out settings to ensure proper video and audio output from your CommBox screen.

Step 1
Swipe up from the bottom middle of the screen to open the Inputs Menu.
Step 2
Tap the Other tab at the top of the screen.
Step 3
Scroll down until you find the HDMI OUT section.
Step 4
Make sure HDMI OUT is toggled ON. This enables signal output through the HDMI Out port.
Step 5
Check the HDMI OUT Format and make sure it matches the resolution supported by the device receiving the signal (e.g. 1080p or 4K).
💡 Tip: Most projectors and secondary displays support 1080p. Select 4K only if you’re sure the receiving device supports it.
Step 6
Toggle HDMI Passthrough ON to ensure audio and video pass through from the connected input device to the external display.
Step 7
Reboot your CommBox screen after making all changes. This helps ensure the new settings take effect properly.
Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

If the HDMI Out options aren’t available in the menu, your screen may need a firmware update.
👉 Go to Settings > System > System Update > Check for Update- Make sure you have updated the CommBox OS Bundle from the Store application
- Launch the Store app, if there is an OS bundle available. this will be displayed in a banner at the top of the Store app

Make sure the receiving device (like a projector or display) is turned on and connected properly.

Double-check that the HDMI cable is securely connected to the HDMI Out port.

Restart both the CommBox screen and the connected device after adjusting settings.
