How to Check for Updates in the CommBox Connect Powered by Eshare App

Learn how to check for software updates in CommBox Connect Powered by Eshare to ensure your screen stays compatible, secure and performs at its best.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

On the CommBox screen, open the CommBox Connect Powered by Eshare app.

Step 2

Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 3

Tap Check for Update.

If an update is available, you will be prompted to download and install it.

💡 Tip: Make sure your CommBox screen is connected to a stable internet connection before checking for updates.

Step 5

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. The app may restart once the update is installed.

💡 Note: Keeping the app up to date helps maintain compatibility with the latest versions of iOS, Android, Windows and ChromeOS devices.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Issue: "Check for Update" button isn’t visible or does nothing.
    Fix:

    • Restart the CommBox screen and try again.

    • Ensure Eshare has been fully launched from the home screen.

  • Issue: Update fails or stalls partway through.
    Fix:

    • Try again during off-peak hours for faster downloads.
