AV Integration Options with CommBox Screens

CommBox screens are designed to work seamlessly with leading AV control platforms. Whether you're using Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX, Extron or Cisco, here’s the latest on integration options.

AV Control Systems (Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Cisco)

Q-SYS Integration – Available Now

  • An official CommBox plugin for Q-SYS is available through the Q-SYS Asset Manager

  • Control power, volume, input switching and feedback

  • Uses IP-based communication 

💡 Tip: Ideal for education, meeting rooms and corporate deployments using Q-SYS Core processors.

Crestron Integration – Coming Early July 2025

  • Official Crestron drivers for CommBox displays will be available by early July 2025

  • Supports power on/off, source switching, and volume control via TCP/IP or RS232

  • Designed for seamless use with Crestron control processors and touch panels

💡 Tip: Keep an eye on the CommBox website and support portal for the release announcement and driver downloads.

AMX Integration – Under Development

  • CommBox is actively working on native AMX module development

  • Expected to support essential display controls and feedback for integration with AMX systems

💡 Note: In the meantime, you can use custom TCP/IP or RS232 commands from the CommBox Control Protocol for basic functionality.

Extron Integration – Under Development

  • Integration with Extron control systems is currently underway

  • Will support core display functions and allow smooth integration into Extron-based AV environments

💡 Tip: Custom scripting with the CommBox Control Protocol is also available if you need early-stage control before the driver release.

Cisco Integration – Requested

  • CommBox integration with Cisco Room Control and Webex devices has been requested
