How to disable HDMI-CEC on your Commercial Display V4

Follow these steps to turn off HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Commercial Display V4 and prevent automatic control between connected HDMI devices.

HDMI-CEC (High-Definition Multimedia Interface Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature that allows devices connected via HDMI to communicate with each other and perform various functions. However, there may be situations where you need to disable HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Panel. Follow the steps below to disable HDMI-CEC:

Step 1

Make sure your display is set to the correct HDMI source (e.g. HDMI 1) that your device is connected to.

Step 2

Using the remote, press the Menu button to open the CommBox settings menu.

Step 3

Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the 5th tab (Settings or Control tab, depending on firmware).

Step 4

Scroll down to the option labelled Control.

Step 5

Arrow across until you find HDMI CEC.

Step 6

Select HDMI CEC, then toggle the setting to OFF.
