[Commercial Displays V4](https://support.commbox.com.au/knowledge/commbox-display?hsLang=en#commercial-displays-v4) # How to disable HDMI-CEC on your Commercial Display V4 ## Follow these steps to turn off HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Commercial Display V4 and prevent automatic control between connected HDMI devices. **Applies To** Applies to: Commercial Display V4 HDMI-CEC (High-Definition Multimedia Interface Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature that allows devices connected via HDMI to communicate with each other and perform various functions. However, there may be situations where you need to disable HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Panel. Follow the steps below to disable HDMI-CEC: #### Step 1 Make sure your display is set to the correct **HDMI source** (e.g. HDMI 1) that your device is connected to. #### Step 2 Using the remote, press the **Menu** button to open the CommBox settings menu. #### Step 3 Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the **5th tab** (Settings or Control tab, depending on firmware). #### Step 4 Scroll down to the option labelled **Control**. #### Step 5 Arrow across until you find **HDMI CEC**. #### Step 6 Select **HDMI CEC**, then toggle the setting to **OFF**. 💡 *Tip: Turning off HDMI-CEC is helpful if your devices are turning on or switching sources automatically when you don’t want them to.* By following these steps, you can easily disable HDMI-CEC on your CommBox Panel.
