CommBox OS Bundle: 1.0.10 May 2025

We're excited to share a small but mighty update to the CommBox OS that brings new capabilities designed to support our sales and reseller network, while also appealing to customers seeking a simpler experience.

What's New?

New Presets with Signage Widgets

We’ve added a selection of new preset home screens to the CommBox Experience. Many of these feature built-in signage widgets. These have been specifically designed to showcase the power of digital signage on CommBox screens

  • Encourage customers to explore signage licensing opportunities

Whether it’s welcoming visitors, displaying dynamic content, or sharing key information in classrooms or workplaces, these presets make it easier than ever to show what signage can do.

Simplified Look & Feel Preset 

We've also introduced a new minimalistic preset that we’re calling “Simple 8”. This design is perfect for:

  • Users transitioning from other interactive panel brands

  • Customers looking for a clean, no-frills experience

  • Deployments where ease of use and familiarity are key

We believe this preset and wallpaper will help increase adoption by providing a comfortable and approachable user journey for those less familiar with CommBox.

How to Update

Updating CommBox OS Bundle via the CommBox Store

  1. Navigate to the CommBox Store on your Classic S5. 
  2. Then select Update Now

Note: If you cannot see the upgrade package, please refer to our network document below and ensure that all ports required for "OTA Updates" (starting from page 71) are open.

CommBox Privacy, Security and Networking Whitepaper 

Check that all CommBox Tools are updated

1. Scroll to CommBox Tools in the CommBox Store.

2. Check to see if any Tools have 'Update' on the blue bottom. If so, please update the Tools as well.
