How to enable Wake on LAN on your CommBox Pulse screen

Enable Wake on LAN (WoL) so you can remotely power on your CommBox Pulse screen over a network.

Step 1: Access Factory Settings

Using your remote:

  1. Press the Input button

  2. Then press 1, 3, 7, 9 in sequence

  3. This will open the Factory Settings menu

Step 2: Enable Wake on LAN

  1. In the Factory Settings menu, go to Remote Settings

  2. Find and enable Wake on LAN

💡 Tip: This feature allows your screen to be turned on remotely via network commands – ideal for IT-managed environments.

Step 3: Find Your MAC Address

  1. Tap Settings on the home screen

  2. Select Network & Internet > Ethernet > Advanced

  3. Make a note of the MAC address – you'll need it to send the Wake on LAN signal

Step 4: Use a Wake on LAN App

  • Download a third-party Wake on LAN app for your PC or smartphone

  • Enter your screen’s MAC address and IP (if required)

  • Test the command to wake your screen remotely

💡 Tip: Many free Wake on LAN tools are available for Windows, Android, and iOS. Just search “Wake on LAN” in your app store.

Troubleshooting / What to Do If It Doesn’t Work

  • Make sure the screen is connected via Ethernet – WoL does not work over Wi-Fi

  • Check that the MAC address was entered correctly

  • Ensure your router supports broadcast packets if you're trying this across subnets
